Single Parent Scholarship Fund-Government Grants and Funds For Single Moms

Single Parent Scholarship Fund-Government Grants and Funds For Single Moms
Almost one quarter of families in Arkansas are led by a single parent - particularly single mothers. This amounts to almost 100,000 families that only have one parent living in the home and almost half of these are living below the line of accepted poverty in the USA.
The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund exists to provide financial assistance to sole parents who live in Arkansas and who wish to study at college, university or other recognized institution.
This financial aid for single mothers and fathers means that they can pursue further education without worrying about how to pay for it all, or putting their family under extra financial stress.
ASPSF recognizes that single parent families in Arkansas are often severely financially disadvantaged and thus, this money provides hope of a more positive future for parents and their children.
The scholarships from the fund can be used for:
Utility Bills
Car Maintenance
The Arkansas SPSF co-ordinates affiliate organizations which independently operate to provide various scholarships. So there are a number of opportunities for parents and each organization will set their own scholarship amount, guidelines, deadlines and so on.

All parents must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a scholarship:
- Must be a sole parent living in Arkansas
- Must also be considered economically disadvantaged
